Missional Community for Change
This year Bishop’s Community Development Trust has been working behind the scenes for the launch and support of Catch Network.
Catch is led by Rev Scottie Reeve and is focused on equipping justice-oriented missional communities and church-plants thrive and make real change in their neighbourhoods.
The emphasis catch provides is growing the church in edge spaces among young adults and where the church is underrepresented.
Currently their focus is on building a network across the nation. Gatherings were recently held in Christchurch and Auckland to talk to leaders of interested mission groups.
At the end of August, Catch will host the Word Spirit Street conference in Naenae. This hui combines theology, practice and prophetic prayer that witnesses to the Spirit’s movement among us.
Scottie hosts a fortnightly podcast with Jasmine Robinson on renewal. This 10-minute conversation provides insight to building the church in today’s changing world.
